TDK launches temperature sensors for electric vehicles

TDK Group introduces the new B58703M1103A temperature sensor for the demanding applications of electric vehicles. The new NTC sensor meets the ultra-high long-term stability requirements of electric vehicle applications, with a rated operating temperature range of -40°C to + 150°C and a short-term temperature tolerance of up to 200°C. At room temperature of 25°C, the rated resistance is 10kΩ, the B25/100 value is 3625K, and the tolerance is only ± 1%.

The new sensors are widely used to monitor the temperature of electric vehicle bus, battery module or connector systems.

 

     The sensor has passed the relevant weather, chemical and mechanical impact tests, the service life is in line with the requirements of LV 124, and the resistance is also up to LV 123 H3, equivalent to 2.5 kV DC. This excellent and long-term stable electrical strength prevents equipment damage and meets the demanding requirements of automotive applications, such as controlling equipment throughout the vehicle's service life.

 

     The new temperature sensor uses a twisted wire connection to improve EMC performance and complies with the LV 112-4 standard for motor vehicle cables. Standard wire lengths are 655 mm and 1000 mm. The sensor is equipped with M4-sized copper alloy fasteners, which are not only easy to install and ensure excellent thermal coupling performance, but also have good material compatibility with the copper bus to prevent contact corrosion.
