TDK offers robust capacitors with low self - induction and high design flexibility

     TDK Corporation's B3271xHx series are EPCOS thin film capacitors for DC link applications with high energy and power density. Capacitors are rated from 500 VDC to 1,600 VDC, providing capacitance values from 0.47 µF to 170 µF and suitable for maximum operating temperatures of +105°C. The rugged, self-healing, ROHS-compliant capacitor has a typical life of 95,000 hours at rated voltage and operating temperature of +70°C.

     These capacitors come with lead spacing of 27.5 mm, 37.5 mm and 52.5 mm, and are offered in 2 - and 4-pole versions. These options result in more than 90 configuration combinations, providing a high degree of design flexibility. To select suitable DC link capacitors, TDK provides the CLARA tool.

     Low self-inductance of only 11.5 nH to 23 nH combined with high ripple current capability makes these capacitors particularly suitable for SiC based inverters operating at high switching frequencies. The series complies with IEC 61071, AEC-Q200 and UL 810 standards and can be used in typical industrial applications such as frequency converters, photovoltaic inverters and electric vehicle fast chargers, as well as automotive applications such as on-board chargers, auxiliary and power inverters
