TDK releases high-precision inertial navigation software to accelerate unmanned landing

TDK-InvenSense has released Coursa Drive, the world's first highly accurate inertial-assisted positioning software for unmanned driving, which can reduce the positioning accuracy to 0.2% of the driving distance. This is essential to maintain decimeter-level accuracy in driverless lane-level positioning.

     TDK-InvenSense has released Coursa Drive, the world's first highly accurate inertial-assisted positioning software for unmanned driving, which can reduce the positioning accuracy to 0.2% of the driving distance. This is essential to maintain decimeter-level accuracy in driverless lane-level positioning. At present, the software has passed the comprehensive testing and calibration of automotive IMU products, and has begun to supply to early customers, and the company expects that 2019Q1 will be integrated into the platform of core driverless customers.

 

     High integration and high precision are the two core development trends of MEMS IMU. At present, MEMS accelerometers and gyroscopes of ESP system are commonly used in vehicles for inertial navigation, so the accuracy needs to be improved, and the integration degree needs to be higher in order to reduce costs. Integrated package of accelerometer, gyroscope, geomagnetometer and centimeter-level positioning accuracy are important directions for the development of MEMS IMU.

 

     MEMS IMU hardware + software system package supply is highly competitive. We believe that TDK will provide customers with inertial navigation hardware and software packaging solutions,IMU system and perception system, high-definition map, domain controller and other fields to promote each other and continue to upgrade, further promote the maturity of unmanned technology. On the other hand, the data from the driverless road test can be fed back to the TDK to promote the update of the sensor products and IMU software system.
