TE Con nectivity launches connectivity to release VPX laminated connectors

     TE Con nectivity, a leading global supplier of connections and sensors, has released VPX stack connectors that comply with the VITA 46 size standard. The connector system allows users to connect backplanes with cables or insert cards for robust embedded computing applications. Stack connectors have been carefully designed for use in the following environments: Small, lightweight and robust connectors are essential for reliability in demanding and arduous conditions.

     TE's VPX stack connectors match the dimensions of the MULTIGIG RT 2 and MULTIGIG RT 2-R connectors and have stack heights of 4 mm and 4.4 mm to fit the VITA 46 half module. It is versatile enough that it can be used as a half module or stacked side by side to fill the entire connector position. The connector has compatible pin terminations at both ends, making it ideal for rigid flexibility or board-to-board stacking where separable interfaces are not required. The VPX Stack Connector makes installation simple with its press-fit application.
