The TE Connectivity (TE) PowerTube connector is designed for high-power applications in hybrid, electric industrial and commercial vehicles. These connectors are designed to handle large electrical loads, up to 500A continuous current (depending on wire size and temperature), and 1000V voltages. The PowerTube connector can also handle a variety of wire diameters between 35mm2 and 150mm2.
PowerTube connectors are of an expandable and modular design with a choice of 180° or 90° directions and up to 3 bits per connector. The improved circular design simplifies cable wiring and connector assembly. The TE PowerTube connector provides a reliable, secure connection with IP6K9K dust and water protection, connector position assurance (CPA), a rugged design to withstand engine-level vibration, and high voltage Interlocking loop (HVIL) safety features.
