TE's RTD platinum resistance components offer the following key benefits:
Highly accurate and stable: The resistance of platinum resistance elements adjusts linearly in response to temperature changes, providing accurate, stable measurements in extreme environments, ranging from ±0.1K to ±0.6K at 0°C. These components have a robust glass construction that minimizes field failures and reduces the need for replacement.
Wide operating temperature range: RTD platinum resistance elements are stable at high temperatures with small drift over their lifetime and are designed to withstand temperatures from -200°C to +600°C. The specific temperature range varies according to accuracy level and lead type. Gold-plated nickel leads can be used for higher temperature operations and welding applications, while silver leads can be used for lower temperature operations and applications involving welding.
Compact design: Platinum resistance elements are small and light, suitable for applications with rapid temperature changes. Available in four standard dimensions, it can be easily packaged in a variety of housing styles. These elements have short response times, increase efficiency, and have different levels of accuracy (according to DINEN60751).
