TE Connectivity announces the launch of a slide power connector. This connector is the only power connector product that allows electronic components to be hot-swappable in the server without shutting down the system power. Designed for hard drives, power supplies, racks, servers, memory, and other high-current applications, slide power connectors can significantly reduce operating costs by saving system downtime that is typically associated with replacing server electronics.
The application of the slide power connector can reduce the deployment of bulky cables in the drawer, provide more space for air circulation, and reduce the overall heat dissipation cost; Compared to cable connection, direct connection of power supply and server can improve voltage drop and improve energy efficiency. At the same time, reliability is greatly improved by reducing the use of cables, and its simple design reduces the risk of power disconnection.

TE's slide power connectors meet this need by enabling part replacement under uninterruptable server operating conditions."
