TE Connectivity has announced the next generation of its Deutsch MIL-DTL-38999 series ACT composite connectors. The ACT series Circular connector is one of the most common and popular military specification I/O connectors in the world. These circular connectors feature a special composite housing that reduces weight by up to 40% compared to aluminum connectors.
MIL-DTL-38999 connectors are used in military, defense and commercial avionics applications around the world. TE's Deutsch team created an innovative composite in 1990 and has since continuously upgraded and improved its products to meet evolving industry standards. The ACT series composite housing is one of the lightest, most corrosion resistant and most durable enclosures, and can withstand up to 1,500 insertions.

The ACT Series of composite connectors offers three housing types, six housing locking modes, two coatings, and more than 50 plug-in arrangements to support terminals 22, 20, 16, and 12, as well as coaxial and dual-axis terminals in power and signal systems.
