TE Connectivity introduces the new non-latching CII FC-335 series relay

     TE Connectivity, a global technology leader in connectivity and sensing, announced the introduction of the new CII FC-335 series relay. Designed to manage demanding inductor, motor, and electro-optical loads, this high-performance relay provides powerful power switching capabilities for aerospace, defense, and Marine applications. The new relay is superior to most similar mid-range relays on the market and is capable of handling higher capacity loads, providing a resistive load rating of 35Amps/28Vdc.

     Randy Biddix, CII Relay Product Manager at TE Connectivity, said, "Unlike other similar devices on the market, this relay is rated at 35Amps for resistive load voltages of both 28VDC and 115VAC. Before TE released this product, the maximum current rating for this configuration was 25Amps. The higher current rating gives customers additional current load margin in their applications."

     The CII FC-335 series relays are manufactured to MIL-PRF-6106 to ensure that they meet demanding standards for power distribution, fuel pumps, guidance and navigation systems and ground support equipment. In addition, the relay features a dual contact design to share the load between the two sets of contacts, minimizing wear, extending life and providing more stable performance. The all-welded construction also provides a more reliable alternative to similar solder-sealed relays.

     This universal relay is available in solder hook or terminal configurations, as well as 28VDC and 115VAC coil configurations. Its main contacts are also suitable for 360-800Hz frequency conversion applications required for new commercial aircraft.
