TE introduces ELCON Micro's expanded portfolio of wire-to-board products. The portfolio comes in a generic 3.0mm industrial package that delivers current up to 12.5A with a single pin and features a custom cable assembly and cable plug solution that extends the ELCON Micro connector released by TE last year for increased design flexibility.
The ELCON Micro product family offers a high current density of 12.5A per pin in a compact design for data communications, telecommunications, consumer electronics, white goods, industrial instruments, medical devices and 5G applications. The series comes in a generic industrial package that helps customers easily upgrade existing designs.
Different from similar products on the market, the ELCON Micro connector housing is carefully designed to prevent the plug from being inserted in the wrong direction, and truly realize the function of preventing misinsertion. In addition, the ELCON Micro connectors can operate at up to 105°C and are manufactured from halogen-free materials to maintain reliable performance in harsh environments. Its 3.0mm PCB package is compatible with Molex Micro-Fit products and interchangeable with BellWether Micro-Hi products. TE also offers custom cable assemblies and cable plug solutions for increased design flexibility.
