TE introduces Sliver card edge connectors that comply with SFF-TA-1002 specification

     TE Connectivity, a global leader in connectivity and sensing, today announced that its new Sliver edge connector has been recognized as an industry standard by the SFF-TA-1002 specification as the best-performing edge connector under this industry standard. Based on a Sliver 2.0 design, TE's industry-leading SFF-TA-1002 connector is a multi-protocol, multi-channel connectivity solution that is ideal for the next generation of high-speed, high-density data transfer silicon technology design requirements.

     The SFF-TA-1002 pin design specification meets the performance requirements of EDSFF, PCIe, OCP NIC and other protocols. The TE SFF-TA-1002 connector integrates multiple pin technologies and speed configurations for easy design and multi-source supply. Sliver SFF-TA-1002 connector supports PCIe Gen 5 and can be extended to 112G PAM-4. The connector is designed with a high density 0.6mm pitch to meet the number of channels required by the PCIe standard in next-generation silicon technology, while existing products on the market have reached their limit.
