TE introduces a new waterproof, sealed double-lock signal connector

     TE Connectivity, a global leader in connectivity and sensors, announced the introduction of a new waterproof, sealed 2.5mm dual-lock signal connector. The new product provides IP67 rated water and dust resistance to protect applications exposed to harsh environments such as high humidity, water, dust and debris. The TE 2.5mm waterproof, sealed dual lock signal connector supports free-hanging and panel mount configurations, providing flexible design options for a wide range of applications in markets such as home appliances, lighting, personal health care and automotive.

     The current trend of smart equipment miniaturization in the industry is significant, the parts are smaller, and the design space reserved for the future is more limited. The new waterproof sealed double lock signal connector has a center line diameter of 2.5mm, making it ideal for miniaturized designs. The connector family has ergonomic features including an anti-wrap lock design, split-polarization anti-slip terminals and an optional TPA device to help simplify assembly.

     The product can be plugged into 26-20 AWG wires up to 1.8 mm diameter of insulation, each with a current rating of up to 3A, compliant with the glowing wire test (750°C, no flame) and UL 94 V-0, meeting global industry safety standards.
