TE introduces new all-in-one solutions with cable receptacles and cable assemblies

     TE Connectivity, the global leader in innovative connectivity solutions for high-speed computing and networking applications, announced the introduction of a new all-in-one cable socket and cable assembly solution that further expands its Sliver portfolio of SFF-TA-1002-compliant products, integrating signal and power while cost-effectively. Like existing solutions, the new product complies with the SFF-TA-1002 specification developed by the SNIA (Storage Networking Industry Association) Miniaturization Technology Working Group and is one of the most durable, cost-effective and best-performing solutions on the market.

     The new SFF-TA-1002 Sliver with cable sockets supports card edges as well as cable applications, including conversion cards, cables, SSD drives, and custom connections. The new product supports PCIe Gen 5 high-speed data transmission and can be upgraded to 112G. The 0.6mm tight-pitch connector meets the number of channels required by the PCIe standard for next-generation silicon technology, while existing products on the market have reached their channel count limits. The new cable assembly solution supports chip-to-chip, card-to-card or card-to-chip connectivity.
