TE introduces the new zSFP+ stacked Belly-to-Belly connector

TE Connectivity has announced the launch of a new zSFP+ stacked belly-to-belly connector that supports data rates up to 28 Gbps NRZ and 56 Gbps PAM-4. Top unlock is a key feature of the zSFP+ family, enabling four-row belly-to-belly applications, increasing panel interface density and maximizing printed circuit board (PCB) space savings for hyperscale data center and network switching applications.

TE Connectivity, the global leader in innovative connectivity solutions for high-speed computing and networking applications, announced the introduction of the new zSFP+ stacked belly-to-belly connector, supporting data rates up to 28 Gbps NRZ and 56 Gbps PAM-4. Top unlock is a key feature of the zSFP+ family, enabling four-row belly-to-belly applications, increasing panel interface density and maximizing printed circuit board (PCB) space savings for hyperscale data center and network switching applications.

The zSFP+ stackable belly-to-belly connector expansion portfolio includes 2x4 and 2x12 configurations and is designed to be flexible for different applications. The product uses the same socket and housing dimensions as all SFP/SFP+/SFP28 portfolios, making it backward-compatible and easy to import designs and upgrade systems.

Jimmy Ju, Product Manager of TE Connectivity's Data and Terminal Devices Business group, said, "56 Gbps PAM-4 support for hyperscale data centers, high-end network switches and routers is becoming the standard. "Many of our customers are pressing for products that support PAM-4 and enable higher panel density, and TE's new zSFP+ stacked belly-to-belly connectors meet this market need to improve data center performance."
