TRINAMIC expands its smart motor power range once again

Trinamic Motion Control Inc. announced the PD86-3-1260 PANdrive™ smart motor solution. Expanding the range of NEMA23 and NEMA24 motors with the NEMA34 stepper motor, the NEMA34 stepper motor is ideal for applications where larger motors are required, such as laboratory automation, robotics, manufacturing, factory automation, life sciences and test and measurement equipment.

Onboard I/O allows independent operation, running lines of code that can be easily programmed in TMCL™, and the PD86-3-1260 also allows remote operation. To do this, you can use one of the two communication interfaces, or even a mix of both. While CANopen allows for easy integration with existing applications, the TMCL communication protocol allows for quick setup, with application code written using the flexible and intuitive TPCL-IDE to shorten the design cycle.

Smart motors such as the PD86-3-1260 PANdrive are not only a complete electromechanical solution, but also reduce the workload. They also incorporate advanced technologies such as SixPoint™ ramps for smooth acceleration and deceleration, StealthChop2™ and CoolStep™ for absolutely silent motor operation, reducing effort and increasing energy efficiency up to 70%.

With the integrated SensOstep™ Absolute position magnetic encoder, the smart motor will automatically detect out-of-step and provide positioning monitoring under any operating conditions. The PD86-3-1260, which will be available through Trinamic's distribution channel at the end of May, provides precise, fluid motion control and is reliable, stable and best in class.
