TT Electronics introduces long life micro sliding potentiometers

     TT Electronics, a global supplier of engineered electronics for performance-critical applications, achieves the perfect combination of miniaturization and economy in the PSM050S-10B10KB The PSM05S-10B10KB is part of the PSM family of long-life micro-sliding potentiometers mounted on printed circuit boards for audio, consumer, medical and industrial applications.

     There are six resistance variants in the range of 500Ω to 50 kω, and they are able to provide a linear response with a linear tolerance of better than 5%. The 10mW subminiature potentiometer has a rated voltage of 100 VAC and an operating temperature range between -10°C and +70°C. Carbon resistance elements are robust and precise, ensuring resistance tolerances within ±20%.

     The PSM series potentiometers are designed to smoothly complete the sliding action, providing users with a premium experience and excellent reliability, with a rated life of 5,000 cycles. Designers can choose the right product in the 4mm, 5mm or 10mm mechanical stroke, and the ultra-thin package width of 5mm can minimize the substrate area of the printed circuit board and simplify the board layout.

     The PSM series potentiometers are available in a surface-mount design as well as through hole variants compatible with wave soldering. Designers can also choose between 1.2mm or 2.2mm slide lengths depending on mechanical constraints (for example, front plate thickness).
