     TT Electronics, a global supplier of engineered electronics for performance-critical applications, announced the introduction of its new OPB735 series of reflective object sensors for the most challenging industrial automation and safety applications. The reflective sensor is a packaged part that offers designers a wide operating temperature range (-55°C to 100°C) suitable for almost any factory environment. With extremely low crosstalk or noise signals, the product provides users with reliable and stable performance even in the most challenging application environments.

 

     "With the OPB735, we can meet the growing demand for reliability and stability in industrial automation applications," said Walter Brooks, global product line manager for TT Electronics' Opto-electronics business. "With its compact design, wide operating temperature range and packaged parts, the sensor provides designers with an excellent reflection sensing solution that can be used in multiple locations within the same system for maximum impact."

 

     Designers can choose between phototransistor or photosensitive Darlington amplifier outputs to meet specific needs or parameters. Regardless of which component output is chosen, the detector responds to radiation from an infrared emitting diode (IRED) only when a reflecting object passes within its field of view. The OPB735 products are packaged side-by-side on a convergent optical axis in a low cost black thermoplastic housing. The OPB735XWZ product contains # 28 AWG wire in compliance with UL 1569. Custom electrical components, cables and connectors are also available.
