The KEMET T494 is a low ESR version of the popular T491 designed for today's highly automated surface mount processes and equipment. The T494 combines KEMET's proven solid tantalum technology with the latest materials, processes and automation technology to deliver an unmatched total performance and value.
This product meets or exceeds the requirements of EIA standard 535BAAC. T494 is classified as MSL(Humidity Sensitive Level) in J STD 020 1: Unlimited floor life at ≤30°C/85% RH. The T494 standard terminals are 100% matte tin with excellent wetting characteristics and are compatible with today's surface mount solder systems.
Tin/Lead (Sn/Pb) terminals can be supplied with any part number upon request. Gold-plated terminals can also be used in conductive epoxy resin connection processes. The standard packaging for these devices is in accordance with EIA 481 tape. The system provides perfect compatibility with all tape feed placement units.
