Teledyne Launches Contact Image Sensor with High Speed and High Resolution Line Scan Imaging

Teledyne DALSA has introduced a new series of AxCIS high speed and high resolution fully integrated line scan imaging modules. This easy-to-use contact image sensor (CIS) combines sensor, lens and lamp into one, making it a low-cost inspection system suitable for many demanding machine vision applications.

AxCIS is equipped with Teledyne's new four channel linear CMOS image sensor. With a resolution of 900 dpi, the sensor has a monochrome line rate of up to 120 kHz and a color line rate of 60 kHz x 3, so it has high defect detection accuracy. The unique staggered sensor design covers all fields of view, without bad points, and provides 100% seamless images without interpolation. The dual exposure mode can complete HDR imaging, improve the dynamic range, and improve the detectability of highly reflective materials.

The starting width of AxCIS is only 400mm and 800mm (other widths are increased by 100mm), even in the place where the longitudinal spacing of the system is very narrow. Its Camera Link HS SFP+optical fiber interface transmits high-resolution images through standard low-cost long cables (up to 300m long) with high data transmission reliability.
