Teledyne e2v adds 36 Mpixel high-speed chips to its Emerald image sensor family

     Teledyne e2v, a global imaging solutions innovator owned by Teledyne Technologies, announced the launch of the new Emerald 36M, a 37.7 megapixel image sensor designed for demanding industrial and outdoor applications that require high resolution and speed.

     Emerald 36M uniquely combines 6k square resolution and excellent frame rates to deliver low noise, high quantum efficiency and wide-angle response. It also provides excellent image quality for the most challenging applications. The sensor is available in ultra-high speed and high-speed versions, offering 86fps and 43fps frame rates at full resolution, respectively.

     The sensor is designed to be easily integrated and compatible with cost-effective FPgas. In a standard 4/3-sensitive ceramic µPGA package, it is the world's highest resolution global shutter sensor for these compact lenses. In addition, the Emerald 36M is pin-to-pin compatible and optically compatible with the Emerald 67M, so multiple resolution and speed classes can be achieved with a single camera design.
