Teledyne e2v introduces the industry's smallest 2 million and 1.5 million pixel CMOS sensors, which are characterized by low noise global shutter pixels

     Teledyne e2v, a subsidiary of Teledyne Technologies Group, launched Topaz series CMOS industrial sensors with 2 million and 1.5 million resolutions. The new sensors use 1920 x 1080 and 1920 x 800 pixel formats, and use cutting-edge low-noise, global shutter pixel technology to provide powerful solutions and streamlined mobile design for a variety of applications.

     Topaz sensor adopts 4.45 mm wide CSP package. The optical center of the sensor perfectly coincides with the mechanical center of the package, creating a slim design for the camera. This feature makes it perfect for small OEM QR code engine design, mobile terminals and SLED, IoT, contactless authentication system, wearable devices, UAVs and robots. The smaller 2.5 µ m global shutter pixel applies intra pixel correlation double sampling (CDS) and advanced double light guide tubes, which can ensure a good signal-to-noise ratio and low crosstalk under weak light conditions, so it can achieve 1/3 inch optical format.
