Texas Instruments DS320PR810 eight-channel conversion driver

     The Texas Instruments DS320PR810 eight-channel conversion drive is a low-power, high-performance linear repeater or conversion drive designed to support PCIe 5.0, CXL 2.0, UPI 2.0, and other interfaces at speeds up to 32Gbps. The device also features low AC and DC gain variations, providing consistent balance in high-volume platform deployments.

     The DS320PR810 receiver uses a continuous time linear equalizer (CTLE) to provide a programmable high frequency boost. The equalizer can open the input eye, which is completely closed due to inter-symbol interference (ISI) caused by interconnecting media such as PCB traces. The CTLE receiver is followed by a linear output driver. The linear data path of the Texas Instruments DS320PR810 maintains transmission preset signal characteristics. As a part of the passive channel, the linear converter driver can achieve optimal transmission and reception balanced Settings after link training.

      This transparency of the link training protocol enables optimal electrical links with the lowest possible latency. The device has low inter-channel crosstalk, low additional jitter and excellent return loss, so it is almost a passive element in the link, but has practical equalization function. The data path of the device uses an internal regulated power supply track to provide high suppression of any power noise on the circuit board.
