Texas Instruments High precision digital to Analog Converter (DAC)

     Texas Instruments DAC63202 12-bit high precision digital-to-analog converter (DAC). This product and the DAC53202 10-bit DAC, which can also be purchased from Moze, belong to the TI pin-compatible digital-to-analog converter series. Both of them are dual-channel, buffered voltage output and current output intelligent devices, capable of realizing rich functions with low power consumption and compact size.

     The TI DAC63202 DAC has a buffered programmable voltage or current output, as well as a programmable comparator mode for all channels. The device supports high resistance power off mode and can realize high resistance output in the case of power off. The DAC output also provides forced-sensing options that can be used as a programmable comparator and current trap. The device is equipped with a high resistance state and resistance pull-off mode, and can provide a high resistance output when the VDD pin is powered off.

     For communication with host applications, the DAC63202 device integrates a 50MHz SPI compatible interface and automatically detects I²C, PMBus, and SPI interfaces. Other important features of the DACx3202 family include user-programmable non-volatile memory, configurable multifunctional general purpose input/output (GPIO), and support for generating predefined waveforms (sine, cosine, triangle, and sawtooth). Combined, these features enable the DAC63202 to be used in "processor-free" applications and to achieve a reusable design.

     For designers who require voltage margin and adjustment, DC set points (for bias and calibration), and waveform generation capabilities, the DACx3202 devices are ideal for a variety of applications, including rack servers, optical modules, data center interconnections (metropolitan), high-performance computing, or ordinary laptops.
