Texas Instruments LMR51430 SIMPLE SWITCHER Buck converter

     The Texas Instruments LMR51430 SIMPLE SWITCHER Buck converter is easy to use and capable of driving up to 3A load current. Packaged in 6-pin SOT-23 package. Offering a wide input range from 4.5V to 36V, the LMR51430 is ideal for a variety of industrial applications, powered from unregulated sources. The 500kHz and 1.1MHz switching frequencies on the device support the use of relatively small inductors, resulting in an optimized solution size.

     The TI LMR51430 Buck converter provides a PFM version for high efficiency under light loads, and an FPWM version for constant frequency and small output voltage ripple over the entire load range. The device requires minimal external components with soft start and compensation circuits to achieve internal. In addition, the LMR51430 offers built-in protection features including cycle current limitation, burp mode, short circuit protection, and thermal shutdown in case of excessive power consumption.
