Texas Instruments MCT8315A FET BLDC drive

Texas Instruments MCT8315A FET Brushless Direct Current (BLDC) driver is a monolithic, codeless, sensorless trapezoidal control three-phase BLDC motor driver with a 3kHz electrical frequency. The BLDC driver is designed for use with 12V to 24V BLDC motors that require up to 4A peak current.

The MCT8315A driver integrates three ½ Bridges, with a 40V absolute maximum voltage and 240mΩ (high side + low side FET) low RDS(ON). The BLDC driver has a built-in power management circuit, including a voltage-adjustable step-down regulator and a LDO that can be used to power external circuits.

The MCT8315A driver has 3% speed loop accuracy (internal clock) and 1% accuracy (external clock reference). Integrated protection features include power undervoltage latching (UVLO), power overvoltage protection (OVP), motor locking detection, overcurrent protection (OCP), overheating warning, and shutdown. Typical applications include BLDC motor modules, robotic vacuum suction motors, motorcycle fuel pumps, and CPAP machines.
