Texas Instruments TPA3223 mono HD analog input Class D amplifier

     The Texas Instruments TPA3223 mono HD analog input, Class D amplifier enables efficient operation at full power, idle and standby. Important protection features are also integrated, including undervoltage, overvoltage, cycle current limitation, short circuit, clipping detection, overheating warning and shutdown, and DC speaker protection.

     The TPA3223 closed-loop feedback provides low distortion across the entire audio band with bandwidth up to 100kHz for excellent sound quality. The TPA3223 operates in AD modulation mode, driving up to 2 x 200W power for 4Ω load or driving 1 x 400W power for 2Ω load.

     The TI TPA3223 Class D amplifier has a single ended or differential analog input interface and supports up to 2VRMS with four optional gains: 20dB, 23.5dB, 32dB and 36dB. The TPA3223 also achieves efficiency greater than 90%, low idle power, and ultra-low standby power consumption (< 0.1W). This is achieved through the use of a 60 Mω MOSFET, an optimized grid drive scheme, and a low power operation mode.
