Texas Instruments TPS563300 3A Synchronous step-down Converter

     Texas Instruments TPS563300 3A Synchronous step-down Converter is an easy-to-use, efficient step-down converter with a wide input voltage range of 3.8V to 28V. The device supports output voltages from 0.8V to 22V and continuous output currents up to 3A.

     The device uses a fixed frequency peak current control mode to achieve excellent line, load regulation and fast transient response. Internal loop compensation is optimized for a wide operating frequency and output voltage range, eliminating the need for external compensation elements. Pulse frequency modulation (PFM) mode maximizes light load efficiency. The low static current feature extends battery life during low power operation. The device has frequency spread spectrum characteristic, which can reduce EMI noise.

     Texas Instruments TPS563300 offers full protection, including OTP, OVP, UVLO, cycle by cycle OC limitation, and intermittent mode UVP. The device is packaged in a small SOT-583 (1.6mm × 2.1mm) package with a pin spacing of 0.5mm. It has optimized pin allocation for easy PCB layout and improved EMI performance.
