The Texas Instruments UCC28781EVM-053 Evaluation Module (EVM) is configured to evaluate the health of the UCC28781-Q1 controller. The EVM consists of a 4-layer printed circuit board (PCB) with a through-hole element on the top side and a surface-mount element on the bottom side. The UCC28781EVM-053 evaluation module demonstrates a high efficiency, high density and high voltage automotive bias power supply with a 60W, 15V output using a zero-voltage switch flyback (ZVSF) controller.
The UCC28781-Q1 controller drives the primary side silicon mosFETs directly and the secondary side synchronous rectifier is driven by the UCC5304 isolated gate driver to increase efficiency and achieve ZVS. UCC28781EVM-053 EVM is used for high-voltage automotive traction inverter bias power supply, high-voltage automotive redundancy power supply, and high-density AC-DC or DC-DC auxiliary power supply.
The UCC28781EVM module converts the 50V to 500V DC input voltage range to 15V isolated output. The maximum rated current is 4A in the input voltage range of 250V to 500V and 2A in the input voltage range of 50V to 250V. In addition, the EVM can be powered by an isolated AC power supply with a voltage range of 90VRMS to 264VRMS by connecting the rectigation-AC portion to the DC input.

● The board can optionally power the EVM with a 90VAC to 264VAC power supply.
● The top side is provided with a 4-layer PCB with a through-hole element
● The bottom side is provided with a surface mount element
