     Texas Instruments BQ25620/BQ25622 Step-down Battery Charger is a highly integrated 3.5A switch mode battery charge management and system power path management device for single lithium-ion and lithium-polymer batteries. The solution is highly integrated with built-in current detection, loop compensation, input backblocking FET (RBFET, Q1), high-side switch FET (HSFET, Q2), low-side switch FET (LSFET, Q3), and battery FET (BATFET, Q4) between the system and the battery.

     It uses narrow VDC power path management to adjust the system voltage to slightly above the battery voltage, but not below the configurable minimum system voltage. The low-impedance power supply path optimizes the operating efficiency of the switching mode, shorens the battery charging time and prolongs the battery life during the discharge stage. Ultra-low 0.15µA transport mode current extends battery shelf life. The I2C serial interface with charging and system setup capabilities makes the Texas Instruments BQ25620/BQ25622 a truly flexible solution.
