Texas Instruments DAC63202 Precision DAC. As part of the pin-compatible dac family, the 12-bit DAC63202 is a dual-channel, buffered, voltage-output and current-output smart device that offers a special feature set with low power consumption and a compact footprint. The device is ideal for a variety of applications, including rack servers, optical modules, DC interconnect (metro), high performance computing, or standard laptops.

As part of the pin-compatible dac family, the 12-bit DAC63202 is a dual-channel, buffered, voltage-output and current-output smart device that offers a special feature set with low power consumption and a compact footprint. The DAC provides buffered programmable voltage or current output and programmable comparator mode for all channels.

 

     The device supports Hi-Z blackout mode and Hi-Z output through blackout conditions, and the DAC output provides a force-sensing option for programmable comparators and current receivers. The device has a high impedance and resistive pull-down mode and provides a high impedance output when the VDD is powered off. For communication with host applications, the device integrates a 50MHz, SPI-compatible interface that can automatically detect I²C, PMBus, and SPI interfaces.

 

     Other notable features of the DACx3202 series include user-programmable non-volatile memory, configurable multifunctional gpio and predefined waveform generation (sine, cosine, triangle, and sawtooth). Together, these features allow the device to run in "processor-free" applications and enable design reuse. For designers pursuing voltage margin and scaling, DC set points (for bias and calibration), and waveform generation capabilities, the device is ideal for a variety of applications, including rack servers, optical modules, DC interconnect (metro), high-performance computing, or standard laptops.
