Texas Instruments offers LDO regulators

     Texas Instruments TPS715 LDO regulators are low-static current devices that offer the benefits of microencapsulation, a wide input voltage range, and low power operation. Designed for battery-powered applications, the TPS715 can be used as a power management accessory for low-power microcontrollers. 

     The TI TPS715 LDO voltage regulator is available in fixed voltage and adjustable voltage versions. For greater flexibility or higher output voltage, the adjustable voltage version uses feedback resistors to set the output voltage from 1.205V to 15V.

     The TPS715 supports a typical low voltage drop of 415mV at a load current of 50mA. Low static currents (typical values 3.2µA) are stable throughout the output load current range (0mA to 50mA). In addition, the TPS715 has an internal soft start feature that reduces surge current. Built-in overcurrent limits help protect the regulator in the event of load short-circuiting or failure.
