Texas Instruments offers its ISO772x high-speed, powerful EMC enhanced dual-channel digital isolator

     Texas Instruments' ISO772x devices are high-performance dual-channel digital isolators with 5000 V(RMS) (DW pack) and 3000 V(RMS) (D pack) isolation ratings compliant with UL 1577. These devices are also VDE, TUV, CSA and CQC certified.

     ISO772x devices provide high electromagnetic immunity and low emissions at low power consumption while isolating CMOS or LVCMOS digital I/ o. Each isolated channel has a logical input and output buffer separated by a silica (SiO(2)) insulating barrier. The ISO7720 device has two channels in the same direction, while the ISO7721 device has two channels in the opposite direction. In the case of input power or signal loss, the default output of a device without the suffix F is high, and that of a device with the suffix F is low.

     Used in conjunction with isolating power supplies, these devices help prevent noisy current from data buses or other circuits from entering the local ground and interfering with or damaging sensitive circuits. The electromagnetic compatibility of ISO772x devices has been significantly improved through innovative chip design and layout techniques to mitigate system-level ESD, EFT, surge, and emission compliance. The ISO772x family of devices is available in 16-pin SOIC wide-body (DW) and 8-pin SOIC narrow-body (D) packages.
