Texas Instruments offers its SN65HVD23x, 3.3V, CAN transceiver in standby mode to operate in harsh environments

The SN65HVD230, SN65HVD231 and SN65HVD232 Controller Area Network (CAN) transceivers of Texas Instruments conform to the specifications of ISO 11898-2 high-speed CAN physical layer standard (transceiver). These devices are designed for a data rate of up to 1 megabit per second (Mbps) and include many protection functions to provide robustness of devices and CAN networks

     Texas Instruments' SN65HVD230, SN65HVD231, and SN65HVD232 Controller LAN (CAN) transceivers comply with the specification of ISO 11898-2 High Speed CAN Physical Layer Standard (Transceiver). These devices are designed for data rates of up to 1 megabit per second (Mbps) and include many protection features that provide device and CAN network robustness.

 

     The SN65HVD23x transceiver is designed for use with Texas Instruments 3.3V μPs, single chip, and demand-side controller, or equivalent protocol controller devices. According to ISO 11898, these devices are used for applications that use the physical layer of CAN serial communication.Designed for use in particularly harsh environments, these devices feature cross-wire protection, ground and overvoltage and loss protection, overtemperature protection, and a wide common-mode operating range.

 

     The CAN transceiver is the interface between the CAN physical layer and the single host CAN protocol controller and the differential CAN bus. These differential CAN buses are widely used in industrial, building automation and automotive applications. These devices operate on the bus in a common model range of -2 V to 7 V and can withstand common mode transients of ±25 V.
