     The BlueNRG-2 from stmicroelectronics is a very low-power Bluetooth low-power single-mode-on-chip system that complies with the Bluetooth specification. The Bluenrg-2 extends the capabilities of the award-winning BlueNRG network processor to allow user application code to be run using embedded Cortex M0. BlueNRG-2 includes 256 KB of programming flash memory, 24 KB of static RAM memory (two 12 KB banks) and SPI, UART, I(2)C standard communication interface peripherals.

     It also features a multi-function timer, watchdog, RTC and DMA controller. ADC can be used to interface with analog sensors and read measurements from an integrated battery monitor. A digital filter is available to process PDM streams. The BluenRG-2 provides the same excellent RF performance as the BlueNRG radio, and the integrated efficient DC/DC converter maintains the same ultra-low power characteristics, but the BluenRG-2 improves the BlueNRG sleep mode current consumption, which further improves the battery life of the application.
