The company announced the release of the next generation of dual pulse tester (DPT) with enhanced functions - power dynamic parameter analyzer PD1550A, enabling customers to test power modules faster and more simply than ever before. We provide advanced design and verification solutions to accelerate innovation and create a safe and interconnected world.
Due to its simple design, high energy density and reliability, power modules are widely used in various industries, such as electric vehicles (EV), solar photovoltaic, trains, household appliances and aircraft. Based on the characteristics of wide band gap (WBG) devices, R&D personnel will quickly switch, reduce the size of power electronic modules, and ensure that the advantages of efficiency continue to power modules. However, it also brings challenges for testing wide band gap semiconductor power modules. We need new solutions to correctly evaluate these products, solve module design problems and shorten the development cycle.
Keysight's last generation PD1500A power device dynamic analyzer/double pulse tester was launched in 2019. It is Keysight's first solution for evaluating the dynamic characteristics of power devices, and has been widely used by power device developers and power semiconductor manufacturers around the world. Now, the new PD1550A extends the functions of the PD1500A and provides a test solution for testing the entire power module (1360 V/1000 A). Therefore, auto equipment manufacturers (OEMs), primary suppliers and power module developers can speed up development and have more knowledge of the dynamic characteristics of power modules, thus improving the safety and reliability of automotive power circuits.
