The STMicroelectronics reference design simplifies prototyping, testing, and evaluation of advanced asset tracking applications

     STMicroelectronics' STEVAL-ASTRA1B development suite and reference design simplify prototype development, testing and evaluation of advanced asset tracking applications such as livestock monitoring, fleet management and logistics. The kit consists of four boards (not sold separately) : STEVAL-ATRA1 (motherboard), STEVAL-ASTRA1SB (onboard system), STEVAL-ATRA1BC (expansion board), and STEVAL-ASTRA1NA (flexible NFC antenna). The suite includes integrated software, firmware libraries, tools, batteries, and plastic housing.

     STEVAL-ASTRA1B is built around STM32WB5MMG module and STM32WL55JC SoC. For short and long distance connections [Bluetooth® Low Energy (BLE), LoRa, and proprietary protocols for 2.4 GHz and Sub-1 GHz]. The onboard STSAFE-A110 ensures enhanced security and also provides the ST25DV64K for NFC connections. The suite is embedded with a full suite of environmental and motion sensors (LIS2DTW12, LSM6DSO32X, HTS221, STTS22H, LPS22HH). Teseo-LIV3F GNSS module can realize outdoor positioning. The power management module adopts ST1PS02 and STBC03 to prolong the battery life.
