The STMicroelectronics synchronous step-down controller has an extremely high voltage conversion ratio

     STMicroelectronics L3751 synchronous step-down controller has a wide input voltage range of 6 V to 75 V. Because the shortest on-off time is only 40 ns, it has an extremely high voltage conversion ratio in the switching frequency range (100 kHz to 1 MHz).

     Diode simulation (DEM) implements a pulse jump mode that maximizes efficiency at light loads, thereby providing controlled output voltage ripple. The forced PWM (FPWM) across the load keeps the switching frequency constant and minimizes the output voltage ripple.

     The Power Good open set output verifies the regulated output voltage for monitoring and can be used to achieve the digital IC output voltage sequencing during the power-on phase. Embedded gate drivers minimize the number of external components and are designed for use with standard VTH MOSFETs.

     Embedded protection (output overcurrent, input undervoltage locking, internal voltage monitoring and heat off) provides controlled and secure operations in critical environments in telecommunications, networking and industrial applications. The device comes in a QFN 20 lead 3.5mm x 4.5mm package with wettable flanks.
