The Sensirion SPS30 particle sensor is MCERTS certified

     Sensirion announces that the SPS30 Particulate Matter (PM) sensor has received MCERTS certification, thus proving the sensor's performance. In addition, the certification proves that the SPS30 can be easily integrated into applications that comply with the European air quality standard DIN EN 15267. The SPS30 is also the first mass-market particulate sensor to receive MCERTS certification.

     The MCERTS certification scheme was established by the UK Environment Agency and is built around international and European standards to ensure high quality environmental data monitoring. The SPS30 has undergone laboratory and field tests and is certified to comply with the latest MCERTS and related DIN EN 15267 European air quality standards. Compliance with the above criteria requires low in-model variability (≤5 µg/m3), which makes the SPS30 a prime choice for integration into applications requiring high accuracy. The Certification is issued by Sira Certification Service, one of Europe's leading notified bodies. They are also ISO/IEC 17065 UKAS accredited and are part of the Canadian Standards Association (CSA Group).

     The SPS30 particle sensor marks a technological breakthrough for optical PM sensors.
