The Supermicro 2U Ultra-E short-body server is NEBS Level 3 certified

The 2U Ultra-E short-body server is the latest addition to Supermicro's expanding Network Equipment Building System (NEBS) Level 3 certified server family, which can be deployed and used in telecommunications and other edge applications to demonstrate industry-standard open server computing performance. It can also be applied outside the confines of traditional data centers.

     The 2U Ultra-E server is now available, equipped with two Intel Xeon scalable processors of the 2nd generation and up to 205 watts of thermal design power (TDP), designed for edge micro data centers. This 2U Ultra-E server offers disk drives and fan modules that can be hot-inserted from the front in a compact body with a depth of just 22.6 inches. In addition, it has 24 DIMM slots, supports up to 6TB of DDR4 memory, and offers eight PCI-E 3.0 expansion slots for flexible expansion of network, GPU, and FPGA options. This system flexibility and multiple configuration options give customers more choice as they transition to modern data centers and edge infrastructure. Ultra-E NEBS Level 3 version will support AC or DC power supplies.

     Supermicro has demonstrated its continued commitment to the telecommunications industry with features such as short body systems, NEBS compliance, and DC power options. Supermicro will also continue to work with leading 5G and telecom software providers to provide the most complete solution.
