The TDK-Lambda CUS1500M series AC/DC power supply is suitable for low noise environments

     TDK-Lambda's CUS1500M series AC-DC power supply was extended to the cusm family of products, now covering 30 watts to 1500 watts. The CUS1500M is certified by the Institute of Medical and Technical Education (Information Technology Equipment) for industrial, medical, cosmetic laser therapy, and analytical equipment requiring less than 300 μs of leakage current, low audible noise, and Class B EMI.

     1500 W increases are available with 12 V, 15 V, 24 V, 36 V, and 48 V outputs, adjustable from -15%/+20%(+15% of nominal 48v). All models accept 85 V(AC) to 265 V(AC) inputs and can operate at full load in ambient temperatures from -20°C to +50°C, with linear drop to 60% load from +50°C to +60°C. High operating efficiency of up to 88% reduces internal waste heat and component temperature, resulting in a service life forecast of electrolytic capacitors of at least 10 years.

     The CUS1500M measures 127mm x 63mm x 261mm and comes with a 7-year warranty. Additional features include a 5 V, 1 a standby voltage, remote on/off, parallel operation of up to 5 units, an isolated DC good/fan fault signal away from the collector, and a variable speed fan that generates 45 dBA(typical) at +30°C, 70% load.

     For safe and easy installation, the output cable is connected by tightening the junction box with a lid instead of a busbar. The junction box can also be quickly configured in either vertical or horizontal wiring directions. The TDK-Lambda CUS1500M conforms to the safety standards of IEC/ES/CSA/EN 60601-1, IEC/UL/CSA/EN 60950-1(pending 62368-1), and IEC/EN 62477-1 (OVC III). And according to low voltage, EMC and RoHS2 instructions for CE marking.

     Input-to-output isolation is 4000 V(AC)(2 MoPP), input to ground 2000 V(AC)(1 MoPP), and 1500 V(AC) output to ground (1 MoPP) suitable for Class B and BF class equipment. All models comply with EN55011/EN55032-B for conduction and radiation performance, with EN 61000-3-2 harmonics, and with EN 61000-4 and EN 60601-1-2(fourth edition) immunity standards.
