The TDK's power inductors have been reduced in size by 35% with a metal-magnetic core material

     TDK Corporation's BCL322515RT series of power inductors was developed for automotive electronics and is designed to plug into power lines of automotive electronic control circuits. Recently, cars are increasingly likely to have electronic control units for information communication and autonomous driving, leading to an increase in the number of inductors used in the supply circuit in the unit. By using a metallic magnetic material as the core material, the component size is reduced by approximately 35% compared to products using traditional ferrite materials with similar properties.

     In addition, using TDK's proprietary material technology and structural design, this product achieves high inductance of 47μH in a small size of 3.2 mm x 2.5 mm x 1.5 mm. The saturation current is 0.72 A and the rated voltage is 40 V, which can be used in the primary power supply circuit input directly from the on-board 12v battery.

     Operating temperature range from -55°C to +155°C(including self temperature rise), support harsh temperature environment. In addition, the connection structure between the winding wire and the external electrode is designed to reduce opening risk and ensure the high reliability required by automotive applications.
