The Texas Instruments TMUX7236 is a CMOS switch with dual channel latched immunity in a 2:1 configuration

     Texas Instruments TMUX7236 2:1 (SPDT) 2-channel Precision switch is a complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) switch with dual-channel latched immunity in a 2:1 configuration. The device works well with dual power supplies (±5V to ±22V), single power supplies (5V to 44V), or asymmetric power supplies such as V(DD) = 12V, V(SS) = -5V. The TMUX7236 supports bidirectional analog and digital signals on source (Sx) and leaky (D) pins in the V(SS) to V(DD) range.

     All logic control inputs support logic levels from 1.8V to VDD, ensuring TTL and CMOS logic compatibility when running within the effective supply voltage range. Fail-safe logic circuits allow the voltage on the control pin to be applied before it is supplied to the pin, protecting the device from potential damage.

     The Texas Instruments TMUX72xx family provides latching immunity. This property prevents unwanted large current events between parasitic structures within the device, usually caused by overvoltage events. The latched state usually lasts until the power rail is turned off and can cause equipment failure. Latch-on immunity allows the TMUX72xx series switches and multiplexers to be used in harsh environments.
