The enhanced RX65N Wi-Fi Cloud Suite that simplifies the connection of secure iot end devices to AWS

     Renesas Electronics, Inc. announced the Renesas RX65N cloud Suite with onboard Wi-Fi, environmental, light intensity and inertial sensors for support of Amazon FreeRTOS and fast connectivity to Amazon Web Services (AWS). The suite helps embedded designers connect to AWS easily, quickly and securely. Using Renesas' integrated development Environment (IDE) "e2 studio", it is easy to create iot applications by configuring Amazon FreeRTOS, all the necessary drivers, and the network stack and component libraries.

     The RX65N Cloud Suite provides a superior evaluation and prototyping environment that enables embedded designers to create secure end-to-end Internet of Things (IoT) cloud solutions for sensor-based end devices. With Renesas's browser-based software, users can visualize their sensor data with a cloud dashboard of smart devices to monitor iot applications, including connected smart meters, buildings, offices, industrial automation systems and home appliances.

Users can use the kit to build prototypes, using the hardware and sample software as reference modules to accelerate their development and provide additional value."

     Renesas 32-bit RX65N MCUS offer Dual Bank Flash for secure and easy program updates over the network, as well as remote over-the-air (OTA) firmware updates. Dual Bank Flash integrated on RX65N MCUS, along with BGO (background operations) and SWAP capabilities, make it easier for system and network control manufacturers to perform field firmware updates securely and reliably. The family of MCUS also integrates Trusted Secure IP (TSIP) as part of its built-in hardware security engine, TSIP drivers use robust encryption key management with hardware accelerators -AES, 3DES, SHA, RSA, and TRNG - as well as protected boot code flash areas to securely boot customers' IoT devices.
