The first EMC high-current filter family with excellent attenuation characteristics from 9 kHz onwards

     TDK Corporation introduces the new B84143C*S250/S251 series of EPCOS 3-wire EMC filters. The new family of components is ideal for high-current converter applications and is rated for 305/530 V AC and 440/760 V AC (50/60 Hz), depending on the model, with current ratings ranging from 160 A to 2500 A.

     The highlight of the new element is that it also achieves ultra-high attenuation values in the frequency range of 9K~150K. To meet UL requirements for switchgear construction, the entire line of filters is specially designed with 100 kA SCCR (short-circuit current rating).

     Not only is the filter excellent in performance, but it also comes with an IP 00 protection grade housing and is very compact in size, ranging from 350 x 240 x 120 mm (L x W x H) for the smallest models to 710 x 365 x 257 mm for the largest models. The ground leakage current of all models is 46 mA, which complies with IEC 60939-1:201 and is certified by IEC 60939-3, UL 60939-3 and CSA C22.2 No.8.
