HVLED001B is the second generation of STMicroelectronics LED driver, including high voltage start circuit and induction circuit, can simplify the driver and AC line connection

 

     The HVLED001B controller simplifies LED lighting module design, maximizes the energy efficiency of all dimmers, and ensures smoother brightness control. Lighting innovator TCI Italy, a major ST customer, used the new controller to design new products to improve the energy efficiency, safety and usability of lamps.

 

     TCI's technical spokesperson explained that it is not easy to develop medium and high power LED lamps that meet the latest lighting regulations and market needs. "ST's new LED driver enables us to achieve our high-performance goals, simplifying product design and reducing bill of material costs with on-chip capabilities. Leds are very fast to power on, taking less than 0.4 seconds, and even at lower dimming levels, they maintain very high energy efficiency, which traditional drives cannot maintain."

 

     Matteo Lo Presti, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Simulator Products for the Simulator, MEMS and Sensors business Group at STMicroelectronics, added: "In addition to further improving energy efficiency in all operating conditions, the latest luminaires must also support smart grid management and power quality, improve power factor and reduce harmonic distortion." The introduction of the HVLED001B makes these goals possible, while also supporting improvements and improvements in start-up performance and dimming accuracy."
