The new Littelfuse 1700 V silicon carbide Schottky barrier diode provides faster switching and higher efficiency

     Littelfuse, Inc, an industrial technology manufacturing company dedicated to providing power for sustainable development, connectivity and a safer world, announced that it would expand its silicon carbide (SiC) diode product portfolio by adding 1700 V products.

     LSIC2SD170Bxx series silicon carbide schottky diodes are packaged with TO-247-2L, and rated current (10A, 25A or 50A) can be selected. These products provide power electronic system designers with a variety of performance advantages, including nearly zero reverse recovery current, high surge protection capability and 175 ° C maximum working junction temperature, so they are very suitable for applications that need to improve efficiency, reliability and simplify thermal management.

     "The use of silicon carbide diodes in power supply design instead of diodes based on traditional silicon based technology will help designers develop more energy-efficient power converters, thereby saving energy and reducing costs associated with cooling power electronics."
