The new SEN5x environment sensor module is now available

     Sensirion introduced SEN50 and SEN55 environmental sensor solutions for measuring various relevant environmental parameters. As a simple and convenient sensor solution platform, SEN50 and SEN55 environmental sensor modules can be easily integrated into various applications, saving time to market and reducing the cost of indoor air quality solution manufacturers.

     Indoor air pollution in workplaces or residential buildings is harmful to breathing and may lead to long-term health risks. The air pollution in the enclosed space not only comes from the external air, but also may be released through cleaning supplies and cooking. Therefore, it is particularly important to maintain good indoor air quality in order to create a healthy and safe environment. Inadequate ventilation and air purification will lead to an increase in indoor pollutant levels. By reporting the concentration of the relevant pollutants, the monitored environmental parameters can help indicate when ventilation or air purification is required.

     Sensirion's environmental sensor module is designed for indoor air quality applications. The SEN50 environmental sensor module is part of the SEN5x series designed for accurate measurement of particulate matter (PM1.0/PM2.5/PM4.0/PM10). In addition to particulate matter, SEN55 detects other environmental parameters, such as volatile organic compounds (VOCs), nitrogen oxides (NOx), and temperature and humidity. Sensirion's proprietary algorithms can be easily integrated into a variety of applications. The applied engine, called Sensirion Temperature Accelerator (STAR), increases the device's response to ambient temperature changes by two to three times. Combined with a temperature compensation engine, it provides a better user experience and more accurate measurements for the end user, thereby saving equipment manufacturers valuable project time and human resources. End users have access to reliable air quality measurements and can benefit from improved air quality while improving health and comfort.
