Skyworks solutions, Inc. and Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. announced a strategic partnership to provide SKY5 transceiver to Antenna RFFE total solutions for the next generation 5G modem platform.
This complete end-to-end solution is designed to seamlessly integrate 5G connectivity across multiple bands and modes, while optimizing performance, energy efficiency and design flexibility to support the diverse needs of 5G applications such as enhanced mobile broadband, ultra-reliable low-latency communications and large-scale machine-type communications.
"The synergy between Skyworks' industry-leading RF front-end solutions and Samsung's cutting-edge RF and modem technologies will greatly contribute to the development of next-generation modem platforms optimized for 5G terrestrial and non-terrestrial network communications," said Joonhoi Hur, vice president of Samsung Electronics' RF Development Team.
