TT Electronics has introduced improved OPF350A and OPF352A fiber optic transmitter solutions based on 850nm LED technology. This new device with field-proven reliability and consistently high output performance can help equipment manufacturers reduce turnaround times and simplify procurement and planning processes. The solution's lead time has also been reduced to 10 weeks.
The OPF350A and OPF352A are available as equivalent replacements for the existing OPF370A and OPF372A products, and companies can supply them in ST packages. The new fiber transmitter also improves performance, increasing optical power by up to 8 percent across fiber sizes (e.g., 50/125μm to 200/300μm).
The new equipment is best suited for telecommunications and data communication uses with a maximum frequency of 35MHz. Typical uses include power generation communications, copper to fiber media conversion, industrial Ethernet equipment, in-system fiber optic links, and video surveillance systems.
The OPF350A, available in the TO-18 package, is suitable for applications requiring high thermal stability in the operating temperature range from -40°C TO 100°C, providing a reliable alternative to the OPF370A with a shorter lead time.
The OPF352A in ST socket package is suitable for printed circuit board or panel assembly. The company is supplied in pre-assembled form, and to ensure performance, the company has pre-tested the product with fiber optics. The product is available as soon as the user receives it, and the package contains basic accessories and dust caps.
