Toshiba Launches Fast Recovery Diode with Press Mount Package

     Toshiba Electronic Components and Storage Devices Co., Ltd. introduced the "3000GXHH32" fast recovery diode with a press fit package and a newly developed high-speed diode chip. This product is suitable for power converters used in DC transmission systems, industrial motor drive systems, etc. The absolute maximum voltage and current ratings are 4500V (reverse repetitive peak voltage) and 3000A (DC forward current) respectively.3000GXHH32 helps reduce the size and power consumption of power converters and is suitable for applications such as HVDC systems, static reactive compensators and industrial motor drive systems.

     The new product 3000GXHH32 has the characteristics of low conduction loss and wide reverse recovery safe working area (RRSOA). The diode cathode structure can inhibit the voltage oscillation during reverse recovery, and the high-voltage structure can work under high temperature. Compared with existing products with the same package size, the forward current (DC) is expanded from 1500A to 3000A, the RRSOA peak power is increased by 45%, and the junction temperature rating is increased from 125 ° C to 150 ° C (maximum). In addition, when configuring systems with switching devices, the product can speed up the conduction by suppressing voltage oscillations during reverse recovery. Therefore, users can configure the system with 3000GXHH32 combined with Toshiba IEGT ST3000GXH31A to reduce power consumption.
